Club Rules

Objective
To raise funds for Home-Start MAJIK through the Friends of Home-Start MAJIK.

Funds
Home-Start MAJIK is a registered charity in Scotland and is the sole beneficiary of funds not given in prizes.

Members
Each participant must be over 18 years of age.
The 200 Club is limited to the first 200 members to apply. Membership is restricted to staff, trustees and volunteers of Home-Start MAJIK and their relatives and friends. If applications exceed 200, a 100/200 club will be set up in each of the areas ie in Mid Argyll, Jura/Islay and Kintyre. A participant may hold more than one membership of the Club. Each membership will be allocated a Roll Number and a roll of membership will be maintained.

New Members
The club will be run on an annual basis commencing on 1 December but membership can be taken out at any time. Admission to the draw will commence in the month following receipt of the subscription.

Resignation
A member may resign at any time but will forfeit any monies paid to date.

Subscriptions
Each member will subscribe £12 per year to the club, paid annually. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that payments are paid on time in order to retain membership. If a subscription is not paid in full, then the member will not be entered in the draw.

Draws
A draw shall take place monthly, commencing 31st December. If all numbers are allocated there will be four prizes in each draw in the amounts of:- £50, £25, £15, £10. The Club shall be administered by an Executive Committee consisting of three members of the Friends of Home-Start, one of whom shall be elected Treasurer and be responsible for the keeping of the accounts of the Club and arranging payment of the prizes. The decision of the Executive Committee shall be final in any matter concerning the Club which requires adjudication.

Prizes
Prizewinners will be notified by post. Prizes will be in the form of cash, paid by cheque. The value of the prizes will depend on the size of the membership, but will not be less than 50% of the profit made by the club.

Renewal
Members paying by bankers standing order will automatically be reserved a membership for the following year. Otherwise membership is on a first come, first served basis.

Funds
Funds will be accounted to the Home-Start annual accounts.

Cessation of the 200 Club
The decision that the 200 Club should be wound up shall rest with the Friends of Home-Start Committee. In the event of cessation of the 200 club all remaining funds within the 200 Club on the date of cessation shall pass to Home-Start MAJIK.
